Wild Badger 31cc 4-Cycle Gas Weed Wacker l String Trimmer 2-in-1 Yard Care System

I received a Badger weed eater for Christmas but did not try to use it until just recently. I have used it once and it was very difficult to crank, Tried to use it again today and have not been able to get it started, I have checked everything I can think of with no sucess. I was going to contact support but there is no email or phone listed on the web page. I need to return this piece of junk. jUST FOUND CUSTOMER SUPPORT HOPE THEY CAN HELP

Ordering directly from the company was easy. Packaging was great and delivery was on time.
The trimmer appears well built not cheap like some of the brands.
The 31cc engine is powerful and being a 4cycle engine does not require mixing gas and oil.
The bumper head string advance worked very well during my first use.
I would definitely recommend this string trimmer.

I feel that the weight is on the high side. When you think of it, a 4 stroke has a larger block than a 2 stroke engine. It runs nice and is somewhat quiet. I was expecting it to be a bit quieter given the ads about it. They included some really cheap string that is round. It cannot cut as well as multi-edge string. It could be the string too that makes extended the string is not very smooth. I want to see what soe HIGH QUALITY, multi-edge string does in it. This stuff is stiff and takes some revs to get it straighrt and cutting. Better string should make a big difference here.

This is not working I've sent multiple requests for a full refund. I need to return the item.

It's a little heavy.

I recently purchased the 31cc Weed Wacker. After assembly, instructions, and calling customer service I could not get the engine to turn over. With further inspection, I found the weed wacker does not receive universal attachments. It is maybe a millimeter off from accepting the spring release along the shaft attachment housing. The oil dip stick is black in color which will cause issues in seeing if the oil is dirty and at proper levels. The gas tank intake is located directly under the air filter, which makes add gas a bit tricky. Last point I noticed, the bottom plate is made of a flimsy plastic that will definitely fail with time. Hopefully the return process goes smoother. Would not recommend.

I cant directly rate this product because I havent started it yet. Per the manual i needed to add oil to the engine which says, 0.1 liter which equals 3.38 ounces. I put in the oil but overflowed at only 2 ounces when it specificaly states not shipped with oil. I called both numbers in customer support a couple of times and kept getting someone with an accent that was difficult to understand. I kept asking how much oil should be in the engine and he kept saying a oil to gas mix ratio, I kept saying it is a 4 cycle you don't mix oil in the gas. He told me to call [****] and it kept sending me to him The manual also doesn't say how to use the dip stick, do you screw it in and then remove to read oil or do you not screw it in and just put against the engine block and then read. I sent a email thru Badger customer support help line and asked them all my questions about oil quantity and dip stick reading and have not heard back as of yet. Sent to "[****]" I wont start it until my oil questions are answered so this product gets a one star rating by my standards.
