This is written with regret that the quality of your product does not meet the level of your service.
In question is the 25cc gas weed wacker purchased last season to trim the undergrowth around the pond on my residence.
The first issue arose when the air cleaner shield constantly loosened and became lost - twice - despite severe tightening. The replacements arrived and worked, after application of light Lok-Tite.
The next issue arose with the leaking gas tank. Again, replacements arrived in time but were installed with considerable problems: The hoses were too long and kinked, cutting off the gas supply.
The tanks were (gently) removed and feed hose trimmed to the proper link. Reinstalling it - again, carefully - resulted in the screw stripping out the threads in the aluminum block. Since this was not a moving part, It was reassembled in that condition for use. However:
Within minutes of operation the exhaust assembly began to rattle inside the cover (the plastic shroud assembly over the sparkplug).
Again carefully disassembling this found that one of the two bolts holding the manifold box to the exhaust port had sheared at the block.
Without satisfactory small “backout” bits, I have turned it over to a local small engine repair shop.
This raises questions as to whether future purchases under consideration (4-cycle, hedge trimmer, pole saws etc.) for my other poperties are advisable given the experience.
That decision is mine alone - for pouring good money after bad - given that this has been used only a relatively few times in less than a year.
Given that I have been favorably impressed with your product - when it works - and your responsive service, This is written to inform you of the situation. My firm has made a practice of purchasing American-Made products and we have eschewed the higher priced appliances due to their extensive use of Chinese components and material.
Again - this is strictly informative, expressing bemusement and disappointment in this appliance. And, again, the decision to continue using Badger products is mine alone.

Dan Nolan
